Hi.
My name is Angela. I am a 30-something, single, white, divorced female living in California.I have 15 year old daughter, a current live-together boyfriend, and a white chow.
I currently run my own business, Bartend on the weekends for fun, and am completely obsessed with the Internet. Every person in my world knows I am the go to chick if they need something researched, an answer to a question that most people won’t know, or what they should do in a crisis. I love to read, and do read anything and everything- instruction manuals, phonebooks, dictionaries, self improvement books, financial books, fashion magazines, the tampon warning pamphlet – I am not kidding – everything I come across. It saddens me to think of all the millions of people on this earth who are illiterate – especially when most of us take it for granted.
I was born and raised less than 50 miles from where I live now. I have always planned to move somewhere like Colorado or Tennessee, or maybe Texas…..but one relationship after another, and having a kid at 17 has kept me here. I grew up poor (for California standards), in a household with my mother, stepfather, sister,Christine, and stepsister, Amanda. My sister Christine and I dealt with mental, physical and sexual abuse on a daily basis. I am grateful for the way I grew up ( even though that may sound warped) because it has made me the thankful, grounded, compassionate, generous, loving, non-judgemental, complete, ecstatically happy person that I have turned out to be.
I graduated school despite being knocked up in my senior year, went to college for a year, and have had jobs ranging from $6.00 an hour to $80,000 per year. At the present moment, I am in the beginning stages of starting a new business, so 99% goes back into the business, and the bartending gig pulls in about $400 per week for 2 nights. Right now I am in survival mode, just barely making enough to survive. But I love it. I have 2 bills- a car payment and insurance – that is it. No credit cards, no loan payments – zip. Oh but I will be getting into my financial screwups later in this blog. And, I have 5 days a week to work on my business. Love it.
I have friends that come from all walks of life. And that is NO exaggeration. Middle class, broke as a joke, highly successful – and, I happen to have one very good couple friends that are billionaires. All of my friend’s name’s have been changed here, simply because I have not asked their permission to write about them, so for their privacy, all names are changed. Except for my sisters – their names really are Christine and Amanda.
This website chronicles my life from a time when I was married and making a lot of money as a home inspector near Los Angeles, to when I experienced Hollywood, to when I lost my job and lived life as an emotional mess, to when I met my boyfriend, why I love to research, ways I can help women, (especially ones who feel lost) to the startup of my business, to my everyday thoughts and research I can share with you.
Thank you for stopping by. I appreciate your time and interest in my Blog!!!
